Miles Per Engine Hour
Unless..... everytime u fire up the engine your gonna get an hour minimum...15 minute ride to work 1 hour, ride home 1 hour. Real new to these dodge's, is that the way it works? I could see 23 hours in 599 miles if thats so...
I can get to work and back and still be on the same hour so a minimum run time for each crack over doesn't add up. It's about 20 minutes to work each way.
My miles per run-hour came out to 29.79......

56,155 miles / 1299 hour / average 43.2 mph.
At 35 mph average and under you are in the severe duty range. Not following the severe duty service schedule may impact your warranty. At the very least you may get some static from an SA looking to deny coverage.

It might be, because I don't idle at all, and I'm at 24mph, but I start mine 7 times a day. This big bad engine better take it, my 5.7 gasser has 430,000 miles on it, and can do it.
I had 330 miles on my truck read about the hr meter in the manual checked it and told me the engine had 12 hrs. Checked it again with 600 miles it said 23 hrs. I have not sat my truck 10 hrs at the most if that. And Idon't let it just idle either. The hour meter is wrong!
If you have only driven it 10 hours, then you are averaging 60mph. That doesn't seem right either.
I see some of you guys are at 40 + miles per engine hour. You must do very little running around in your rigs.
I've had it three weeks and have gone on three long drives of about 1.5 hours each on the freeway mostly 65 mph or so. Still seems like I've clocked alot more hours than than I think it should have. Maybe I'm wrong I don't know .... only got 605 miles on it.
I can't say that the hour meter is accurate to the minute for sure, but I think it is. Most people average 30-35mph based on the odometer and hour meter. That is fairly normal for a truck that is used as daily commuter or a lot of city driving.
When I am travelling for work, I do daily 200-500 mile trips at highway speeds of 65-75 mph, so mine is higher than most, but I also drive around 50k a year.
In all honesty, it's not that big of a deal. Just another topic of conversation here at DTR.

What we don't know is how long they sit running before we buy them. Evey week I see my local dealership move the trucks from one side of the lot to the other so I can see why yours has more hours on it then you think it should.
No kidding...mine is a daily driver and I'm not far to work or any of it. I'm at 24mph. That better not be severe driving conditions! Heck with it...I'm ready for a big road trip!
Here is a different one: 24074 miles/456 hours = 52.79 mph
I got my truck in Feb and have driven mostly all interstate. I live in Texas and worked in Louisiana driving to work offshore. Each friday I was either coming or going... driving 360 miles at 70mph. I now have a job "closer" to home that is 48 miles away...all interstate also...so I don't see it changing much.

Don't forget all those times sitting at a stop light or in drive-thru for a burger add up quickly as well for any of that city traffic I know I was surprised when I started thinking about it but we sometimes forget just how much time is wasted sitting when driving in the city.

I have 17,000 miles and im at 725 hours. Is that bad???? My truck see's alot of town driving. I dont know why I should worry about it. I didnt buy the truck to sit in my garage and never gt used. I bought it to drive and tow heavy stuff. Its funny I have alot of friends who worry about miles they put on there vehicle. I look at it this way you will never get the money out of the truck that you put into it. Vehicles are a liabilty in terms of money gained VS. lost In most cases wont make money off of them so dont worry about it.
