On one of the other sites one of the local tranny guru's stated that the 48re o ver all had fewer problems and recals than any other diesel pickup trany out there including the Allsion.
thats all I heard Mr. Holt say so am just relaying his comments as I read them.

I don't think the Allisons are all they are cracked up to be... a little overrated in my opinion.

I've read that in the past years the 48re had the lest amount of warranty repairs then the Allison or Torqueshift.Not as high tech but less issues.
