Question Mag Hytech Deep Trans pan install

anyone running a Mag Hytech Deep Trans pan?
Like to do it to have a place for the sending unit for a temp guage

would that be accurate enough?

have you had the Dealership install it to avoid warranty problems down the road?

thanks

why pay the dealer to install it??? will only take an hour-from start to finish!!! i work 60-65 hours a week and found the time-it should not affect your warranty-but then again-it depends on your dealer!.

I installed mine in about 1 hour. I have had my truck back to the dealer with the Mag-Hytec pan and they did not say a word about it. I still have my trans temp probe in the test port of the transmission.

Yep takes an hour at most!! Very simple just make sure you get enough fluid to re-fill it!! My tranny probe is in there too and it is 20 degrees different than in the hot line!!

I bought mine for ~$275 from Genos and paid the dealer to put it on and flush the trany since I don't have a good place to work on my truck right know.

Got one on mine, easy install too. It has a port for the temp sender, but mine is in the hot line from Diesel Manor. Got mine through Ken's Performance Solutions. It holds 4 qt over stock. When I changed mine, I took the cooler line off and drained the cooler too trying to get as much of the break in fluid out as possible. If you do this, Make sure you have at least 4 gallons of fluid ready to go back in. Mine took about 3 1/2 to fill back up.

Got mine from Geno's and the the hot line is the most acurate place for a sender. 1 hour max, and it sure is well made.

I have the double deep pan on mine. it is really well made compared to the stocker. the tranny stays at 180 or less most of the time. I bought one because I already had thousands in the tranny why not have everything on it possible

I just installed one on my truck on the 4th of July. I was a little nervous about it but it went on without a problem at all. Best part was I didn't make a mess removing the old pan. Put 10 qts back in it to fill it up. Genos gives you everything you need....Pan, Gasket, Filter and Filter spacer block to lower the filter into the deeper pan. I can't believe I used to pay a dealer to do this kind of stuff. Thanks to everyone on this forum.
