Loss of power during acceleration.

Okay so my truck was hard to start if it did & was sluggish especially over 1500 rpm so. You can tell a difference as it goes from pulling good to less power while accelerating. I took it in & had it looked at. After 2 weeks in the shop & $1650 later I had the sending unit replaced & injectors removed & bench tested. Then the mechanic says he doesnt have the proper equipment to test my high pressure injectors & wants another $850 to test them again once back in. Or $60 a piece to send them to the parent shop to be tested there. I said no I want my truck back & now it starts better & every time but still not right & still have power loss durning acceleration. Any ideas? I'm think maybe pressure pump.

Loss of power on any diesel is usually insufficient fuel delivery. If you had a supply fuel pressure gauge installed at the high pressure pump inlet, you could eliminate at least the most likely 50% of the fuel system as the culprit. Gauges are a lot less expensive than $1650.

That was a hard lesson learned. Any ideas on where to search for a problem after the sending pump? It will be accelerating right & all of a sudden it acts as if I all but took my foot of the pedal.

Why?. You don't know yet that the problem is not the supply pump. The problem is most likely fuel starvation. Put a gauge on it and drive it until the problem occurs. At that time you will have feed pressure or not. That is a decision point.
