Looking for feedback on new torque converter

Looking for some first hand info on anyone who has done just an aftermarket TC. My issue seems to be when towing, I can hold 2000 rpm's and speed slowly comes up. Dont get me wrong it pulls fine, it just seems it could be better. Once the TC is locked up I can really feel what these engines have to offer. Im just looking for some more useable power when the TC isnt locked up. Would a more efficient TC do the trick? BTW Im towing my boat most of the time, maybe 5500 lbs.

Thanks

I'm looking for the same info, my truck just doesn't have that new truck get up and go and I also think a new torque converter might do the trick.

The tighter TC really need more line pressure to work properly. I would do at a minimum of a TC and Valve body upgrade. The next thing to have issues with is the input shaft and weak flexplate. I would save up to get everything done at once. If you try to go on the cheap, it will bite you.
