long cranking and p0335

I have a 2005 manual truck and have been having a problem. longer than normal cranking times, espically when hot, and throwing a p0335 code. The check engine light was on for a few days then went away but the code is still there after atleast 25 starts. P0335 is crankshaft position sensor circut.
Any idea if is just in need of a new sensor or am I looking at an ecm. I also checked for any shorted wires or bent fingers on the tone ring and found none.

try cleaning the sensor, make sure the connectors are clean and tight...
