Lift pump leak fixed

I removed the lift pump yesterday. The o-ring seal was damaged. Apparently the pump wasn't aligned properly and allowed the seal to get pinched. The pump centers itself via the outlet tube and o-ring.

MikeyB

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Thanks for letting us know what you found. Too few users of this site let us know the solution to their problem(s).
Presume all you did was install a new O-ring and reinstall the pump?

That is correct. Just a new o-ring. About a ten minute job. One thing I didn't understand is the manual didn't mention lubing the o-ring. I went ahead and lube the o-ring with silicon grease. The kit contains just about every seal needed for the fuel system. Also included 4 new bolts with thread locker for the lift pump.

MikeyB
