Lightbulb Leveling kits? help me out...

Guys --

I have been researching this forum for several days. I need some help here.

Specs -- 2004.5 Dodge Quad Cab 4x4 CTD with a heavy ranch hand front bumper (about 300 lbs) - 9" American Eagle rims with BFG 315 70 R17(s)

Now, the question is to do this RIGHT, do I need a 2" leveling kit with new shocks or a no new shocks? Do I need a 2.5" kit with shocks? I have been told different things from different shops. One shop tells me that I need the 2.5" kit with shocks and the other says that I need a 2" lift without... I am CONFUSED!

Input?

I have an 05 with 35/12.50/17 cooper discoverer stt....I have a leveling kit with no shocks....the only thing that could happen to the shocks with this kit is that if you hit a large hole at great speeds...you may hyper extend them..... But if you go slow they will just bottom out...i Have done this on my past two trucks with no problems.....and my trucks get worked

I have these on my truck http://www.jackit.com/store/supercart.cgi?s=skj_d25 i had the leveling steel pucks and the death wobble so i took those off and went with the springs and i have not had the death wobble since plus i have bilisteins shocks and i honestly think you need the shocks also. The springs are look awesome too.On a side note i installed air ride system on my truck today so when it is loaded with the leveling kit you can set in the cab and raise back too level. It has a digital gauge inside for the bags and keeps a minium air presure all the time.
