Leaf spring help.

My neighbor who has an 04.5 2500 QC LWB has done just about everything to his truck - Banks 6 gun, propane, lift kit, 355/70 R18's, etc. He currently has a 4" skyjacker lift kit, 2" spring spacer in front, and was putting in 2.5" add a leafs (skyjacker) in the rear springs. He/we did the right side fine, getting him another 3 inches of lift. On the left side, we ran into some problems with the e-brake cable being in the way when installing the leaf pack back in and the truck fell off the jack, missed the jackstands and hit the floor about 2' below. Luck for us, it missed it's targets. We did a visual and everthing looked fine, installed the leaf pack with the new add a leaf, but when all was done, that side of the truck was sitting 2" lower than the right side. We were careful to make sure that all springs were installed exactly the same direction, same order, same part # on new leafs, etc. We measured all distances from bolts to frame of the leafs, shackles seemed ok, etc. The original skyjacker leafs, add a leaf, and bottom spacer plates were all unbolted and not entirely installed on the truck when it fell. Could we have damaged the springs so that their spring rate was messed up to cause the 2" difference between each side?
