K&n Oil Filter
Are they any good? Will the filter enuff for the old goat? I talked to a guy who said he picked a some MPG's using it. Nothing drastic but a little like 1 MPG. Curious to know if they will be good enuff.
Interesting that he told you about picking up mpg using a certain type of oil filter...sounds like a pretty new concept.
I would stick to Fleetguard, Donaldson, Amsoil, Baldwin, or the Mopar ones myself.

Stick with Fleetguard or Mopar.$10-$15 for a filter that was made specifically designed for your engine is cheap. If you are looking at getting more filtration look at adding a remote by-pass kit from Amsoil
You could gain a mpg or so if you scraped all the crap out of the inside of that filter and just screwed it on. That way there won't be any of that pesky filtering media slowing down the oil and the oil pump won't have to work as hard...
What counts is what the filtering media is made from like the cheap paper media used in Fram, the standard Purolater, Champion an other cheap filters or the high quality synthetic media found in the high end filters like the Fleetguard Stratapore or Donaldson ELF/Amsoil.
