Just replaced #4 injector line
Been carrying it around for a year. Decided to go ahead and put it on since there are so many posts on this and other forums about its failure. It would be so much easier in my garage than in a parking lot somewhere or along the road.
This turned out to be a piece of cake! Just being carefull to not get any contamination in the new line is the only warning I have. I blew out the new line with a compressor just in case something was in there from the manufacturing process. It only requires a 19mm wrench. No air gets in the line apparently because when I fired it up the engine ran smoothly. I have now kept the old line as a spare. It is a big puzzle to me why is #4 the main culprit and not the longer lines like 1 and 6?

FWIW,.....Lary is exactly right on the #6 injector line also failing because that is what happened on my 2006 Dodge CTD CR. So,....be sure you look real closely at the #6 line too. Mine let go right where the line connects to the connector tube and was real hard to see. Seeping fuel helped me see mine.
