ISB-e Mods???

First off hello, I have been lurking around this board for years, I think it wonderful and always find it interesting to read. I finally saved up enough to purchase a 2003 3500 Quad Cab 4x4 HO Auto. I have been reading and there seem to be a handful of mods to say the lest but I was wondering what order they should be installed. My idea is to build a great daily driver (Auto tranny for the other person in my life) and make it a good pulling first, racing second truck. I ordered 4.10's and a posi in the rear end. Moving on, any ideas? I was considering these mods in order
1) Guages (EGT, Boost, ???)
2) Deep Trans Pan
3) Edge Box
4/5) Scotty Air Intake (when aval.)/ Exhaust
7)DDT/ATS Trans upgade (depending on slipping at the time)
7) Injectors

If anyone has any good ideas on how to build a good pulling racing truck please help me out. Also, what are some realistic Number I should be making after the steps if anyone has ideas.

Lenny

P.S. This truck has to beat my friends Honda Civic with exhaust and all that rice stuff (mid 15's)

Re:ISB-e Mods???

Personaly I plan to use this order for bombing:

1) Gauges
2) Exahust
3) Air Intake
4) Fuel / Timing Box
5) Injectors
6) Auto Tranny Upgrade (If/When needed)

I like the idea of improving the breathing (exhaust / inake) first to make it easier on the system to handle the increased loads.

Ideally you would upgrade the tranny before adding the fuel box and inejkctors, but I hope the 48RE will stand up to some more torque than it's predecessors. I figure upgrade the tranny if the 48RE shells. ;D

Re:ISB-e Mods???

I agree, I am hoping for breathing first but, with all the D@mn rice rockets down here in FL I need HP fast. I can't wait to see the look on my friends face when he sees what I put down on the dyno bone stock. Anywya back to the topic, thanks for you input, i may move the exhuast up depending on the supply of greenbacks.

Lenny

Re:ISB-e Mods???

To be more specific, look at TST's box that will be comming out soon. It will make 140hp and have gauges built in. Air intake and tranny mods will be a must then. After that if you want to go extreme get a big turbo and some injectors.

Battering,

One fuel adder will make me go to tranny mods? I though the new 48 was supposed to be able to handle that or do you just mean a new converter valve body and controller?

Lenny

Re:ISB-e Mods???

The fueling box alone will put you at 400hp... yes 400hp The stock converter wont handle this. So yes some tranny mods are needed if you want to utilize all the power in the box.

Re:ISB-e Mods???

best way to get rid of the rice is BEAT them in a kraut can...I entice them in my truck and then Spank them with WETT boxed equipped VW TDI...I hate Hondas.....when I was a spry young dude cruizen the beachs of calif VW bugs were the victims of choice....now that I am old i beat em in a stealth 4 door sedan that SPANKS them and gets 50 hwy and 46 city////and I know guys this is a truck forum but the mention of rice gets my adrenalin goin....sorry...its the race in me!...i will go and hide again!!!
cameron.....
