Intercooler hoses and water pump

I installed my new water pump and it just had a rubber gasket--should I have put any sealant or anything on the surface before I installed it?

Also, I removed the passenger side intercooler pipe so I could get to the lower radiator hose cause I'm replacing those also. Anyway, I need to replace the intercooler hoses and I haven't seen them listed on any parts stores website. I need to get it done today cause I need the truck tomorrow.

Thanks

from what i read some use a small amount of sealant on the water pump, i wouldn't put it on the rubber seal maybe the pump surface where the seal is not touching.

the inter cooler hoses are reusable, if it is bad you wont find one of them at autozone. possibly a Napa, they are involved in the trucking industry somewhat, i do bet they can get it.

places i have seen them:
Cummins
Freightliner
Mi Turbo
Diesel Injection Service
ebay

i would not buy that part from a dealer.

You installed the water pump properly. There is no need to use any type of sealant on the mating surfaces. That is the purpose of the rubber o-ring.

Thanks for the lead, i have been looking for a hose kit like that, good price too. my 99 needs 1, may as well change them all at that price.

i have a straight orange boost hose on at the turbo i picked up out of town when the original one would not stay on for 5 miles towing a trailer.
