My 2004.5 has a pinhole in the intercooler. No power and has a whistle. It was not Dodge's fault. I ran over something on the road. Dealer tells me the part is on national back order. The part number is 55056671AA. He advised me that it could be anywhere from a few days to 3 months To get the part. I called Customer service which was a waste of 45 minutes, Held on for 36 minutes before getting an operator.

The service manager at the dealer told me that Cummins makes the part. Called the local Cummins distributor and they said they do not make that part.

I am new at this so any suggestions to get my truck back running would be appreciated.

I'd try a radiator repair shop, especially if you have to absorb the cost of a new intercooler.......dependent on the location of the pinhole, I'd bet it could be repaired.

Yah Radiator repair shop will be your best bet if it can be fixed

No one currently makes the new style intercooler. ALL new order coolers will be plastic tank according to my parts guy,old number supercedes to 05 number. SUCKS ! Good luck finding ANY new coolers,I got the same story you did,national backorder,dont have arrival estimate. What about the guys that use their trucks for a living ? Out of luck ! Get it repaired,should be easy,tig it and go,these things are tough,after waiting 4 weeks,I tried to run over mine (slight boo boo,bowed in 6 inches in the middle) and it will support the weight of the truck WITHOUT bending the core,run over flat !
