It looks like the new updated part number 52121419AE has the oil pan clearance cutout already. I have yet to install so will report back.

Thanks for the update. I've wanted to install the skid plate, but didn't have the tools to make the cut out. If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to pay for the skid plate?

Hope the fires aren't causing too many problems. My Dad lives up in the mountains West of Sedalia near Rampart Range, and I would hate for them to have to live through another big forest fire and evacuation.

I also agree with your favorite mod. I almost didn't buy the cup holder, seemed expensive for a piece of plastic, but it's been a great addition.

This is looking straight up at the cutout included on the updated part and the oil pan. Tested it on a rough trail with no problems. So make sure you order the updated part number and you will not have to cutout the corner like the previous posts.

I used a 4 inch x 1/2 inch U bolt ordered from Napa for the inside connection. Still have to drill the holes for it, and I made up a big flat washer to give it more strength. Be aware that the Napa U bolts thread does not allow the nuts to snug up to the axle. They only go up part way so I had to use 5 washers to make up the difference. Currently looking for a U bolt with the threads that go further up to replace it with.

I just got this skid plate and have a question... I get the u-bolt to hold the right/drivers side to the axle, but what do I do on the pass side? Can you post a pic? Or send me info, please? I am in Monument, btw. Thanks.

Never Mind. Once I got back under there and looked, I see where the two bolts go on the pass side.
