Injector Return Flow Test
I have performed the injector return flow test and have determined that in a 1-minute run, i get 210 mL of returned fuel from the injectors. Probably enough to create the hard start condition without affecting the normal operating condition too noticably. That's about 30mL/minute more than the max amount called for in the procedure. My gut feeling tells me it's probably coming one injector. So my task at hand is to determine which one that is. I know that if I disconnect 1 fuel feed line to the injector at a time and re-run the return flow test, I should be able to determine which injector is causing the excess return flow. To do that, I'd need a fitting (a plug) to screw into the tubing connector nut to block it off. Now I'm not sure if you can run the engine with the connector "tube" to the injector open. I wonder if there is a fitting that can be screwed onto the tube to seal it off. I'd like to do this test as I already have 1 brand new injector and I'm ready to tackle it. Has anybody heard of, or know where, or know what thread type/size fittings I'd need to do this?
