Injection Pump Probs...is it the same as past?

Injection Pump Probs...is it the same as past?
Just having some thought after i just changed my VP-44 and wondered if the new common rails pumps have the same issue? I know this is a differant fuel system...and the pump really has less to do. Also what is the fuel pressure at the pump from the lift pump? Just some thoughts......Thanks.....

NO! Whole differant setup.The new ones are really just a pressure pump and injectors fired by electronics.

That is what i kinda figured....it has lots less on its plate to control so basicly less to go wrong...that is good to hear.....
