Idler Pulley

The idler pulley on my 05 is squeaking bad. The truck only has 15000 miles on it. Is this item covered by the 100,000 mile engine warranty?

Sorry don't know if it's on the engine warranty or the DC warranty but in any case it's covered at 15,000 miles.

How do you know it's the idler pulley? Just wondering.

I first thought it was the tensioner pulley and sprayed a little wd-40 on it and no change. So I sprayed a little on the idler and it quit squeaking for about a day or so. It is real loud and I know it is going to fail soon. I have to take the truck in for the Park (tranny) recall so I will ask them to fix it then along with the TSB for white smoke at start up.
