How to tone it down a knotch?

On my 04 3500 6spd I intalled a Dynomax turbo back system. After running over a year now the sound has just worn on me. When hooked up to our 40ft horse trailer you can not even hear yourself think. I even tried the straight pipe route and its just not for me. I am 26 years old so too loud...too old doesn't work on me. Any suggestions? Thanks

Have you tried a turn down tip on the end to help reflect some of the noise down to ground.

Add an Aeroturbine right after the downpipe. This has helped many people.....

X 2!

I heli-arced a 4040L onto the DP a long time ago, and the truck sounds GREAT... and I know that I have the most efficient exhaust system possible - especially with a THOROUGHLY cleaned cat that terminates at the rear of the cab.

The Aeroturbine is not really a muffler, though it functions well as one.... it was designed by fluidics engineers to accelerate the flow of gas flowing through it... noise attenuation is a beneficial side effect.

I just swapped out my stock muffler for a MBRP straight through muffler. Slightly louder off the line, but quiets down nicely at cruising speeds. No cab droan. I gained 1 mpg around town. I pull a 30ft 4 horse trailer and am very pleased with the results. Only cost $100 at a local shop, muffler included.

Good Luck with it!

I have not tried a td yet but I really think most of the noise is resinating(sp) from the muffler then into the cab.

Great responses guys thanks.

With the 51" Donaldson it just a little louder than stock at idle and on the highway I dont even notice a difference.

I had the same problem, the Donaldson/Nelson mufflers are the answer.
