How do I reset eng code on 2006 5.9

I had removed the breather tube to get to the oil filter while serviceing the trk . So I disconected what i'm guessing is the Mass Air Flow sensor when I did that . Well I restarted the trk before I hooked that back up , an of course
the little engine Icon stayed on . I shut it off hooked it back up restarted but now it want go off. How do I reset this .it does like the book says an after about 15 sec it flashes 5 times but stays on after start ? My son suggested unhooking the batterys an letting it set a while , I could resync my trottle after that , but is that the only way to reset a code ?

Thanks George

I'm not sure what you actually disconnected but as long as everything is back to normal, after a few key cycles it should clear itself.
