how to adjust p r d 3 2 1 indicator light on guage cluster?

how to adjust p r d 3 2 1 indicator light on guage cluster?
I put in a shift kit and its off by one gear now so when i am in park it reads reverse in the guage cluster. How do i adjust the cable that senses which gears it is in? Is it the one cable under the steering column that has a pin you pull out and has a large area of teeth to adjust up and down?
