Might be a stupid question but when you edit the pic size in photobucket are you certain you saved the changes? (either to new copy or current picture) I only ask because sometimes I overlook it and my changes don't take affect.

Yes, i have gone back in 6 times now, they are 640x480. I have deleted them off of photobucket, and uploaded new photos that are 640x480 on the computer..

For some reason some of the servers are not refreshing?

I am now going to delete them and rename them, if that don't fix it then I have no clue!

Why don't you add one of those remote cable operated drains from a 5th wheel then you can close it from the cab with a cable.

I just can't see ever needing to open and close it that often.

A couple updates.

This was a very worthwhile mod. The IAT's with my airflow improvements were up a little at full boost, the HD CAI has dropped them back down to about a +40 max at full boost.

The cap is absolutely necessary. Even at low boost the motor moves some air, and really sucks hard up that pipe. I left the cap off for about couple miles on a dirt road and plugged the filter up pretty good.

Everyone should do this mod.

So with the cap in place all the time, what are you accomplishing, other than just having a bigger filter box?

With the massive rains we've had here over the past two weeks, I really wish I had my mod updated to the pvc version and threaded cap. No use going out and drowning.

Hmmm. I never read this thread back when it was new. I like what you did there. I may have to do this once my BHAF gets past the point where I can clean it. Maybe even sooner. It would be nice to put an elbow facing the front of the truck to really get a Ram Air effect going. I may have to use this idea as a base for some kind of real Ram Air setup with my SRT10 hood. Hmmmmmmmm.........

I only have the cap in-place on dirt roads, or in the winter for snow. This mod is really only useful at high airflow (full boost and high rpms), neither of which I ever hit in snow or on dirt roads.

I have a question for you, I have the PSM mod on my truck, same deal as yours. Wouldn't the air box just pull air from the fender in you were driving in water up to the bottom of the tube. I mean, I know it pulls air, but I would think if water/snow plugged the end of the tube, it would just pull from the stock fender location? Just wondering, I have had mine for three+ years now and don't see any additional debris, bugs or moisture in mine. Didn't have any issues in deep snow or driving through streams and such. Scotty

The engine will pull from the path of least resistance, which *should* be the fender opening.. I'm not risking my turbo/motor on that.

I am running the Amsoil Eaa. It is the same thing as the stock filter, just supposed to be a better, longer lasting one. Scotty
