My service 4wd light comes on then throws the truck into 4wd not all the time but recently started doing it more. I was driving home last night and my truck went into neutral and now wont go into gear!!

Pure electrical problem, unfortunately I can't help you and I don't have an 06 service manual, but I am fairly certain you can remove the gearmotor on the TC selector shaft and manually get it in 2 high.

Not sure if it will stay in without the gearmotor put back on, but I sure as heck would unplug it. There have been cases of them going into 4WD low at speed, and it isn't pretty.
