I did the same as Tomeygun and have mine zip-tied to the tow hook. Works nicely and tucks away nicely behind the bumper when not in use. I also put an old female plug end on it to protect it when not in use since mine didn't have a "cap" on it. Got it from Cummins for 11 dollars and change. Tech guy there helped put it on and it was kinda difficult. Glad I got it with this arctic blast recently.

The cord does not come standard anymore for sure. It is a $10.00 option when ordering the truck. Mine does not have one so I went to the DC parts counter and they quoted a price for just the cord at $ 46 and change but would give me a 10% off because I just got the truck there. I told them no thanks as I felt that their prices were way over board and I told the salesman that they should give me one for the $ 10.00 but no dice. If I had known when I was doing the deal I would have gotten one then for the cheap price. I told the salesman that this was a pretty cheesie thing for DC to do to their loyal customers.

Just wanted to chime in an note I found the chord.

On the 03 you simply open the hood and it is on the grille side of the passenger radiator suppport, slightly in board of the passenger headlight.

Easy enough. Just a little off of "front and center".
