Truck ran fine this morning. Just went out to go to work and truck almost died1/4 mile from house. Engine light came on. No power. Almost did'nt make it up the hil to the house, lots of black smoke. Pulled Smarty #3 out and back to stock. Still no difference. Checked codes, P2146 and P0299(low boost). What to do first? Really need my truck to go to work. Any help will be appreciated!!

Was there a pop?

It sounds like you developed a huge boost leak, look at your hoses, intercooler, etc. Maybe pull the intake off the turbo and look for any damage or play in the turbo.

 

Bad injector or valve cover gasket would be my guess. Happened to me 5 times 4 bad injectors 1 at a time and 1 time it was the valve cover gasket. by the way if it's a injector you could be filling your crank case full of oil in no time.
