Help with Rims and tires

I'm in need of some new tires. I really like the looks of the M/T's but I don't want a 30,000 milage tire. I drive on pavement most of the time but I do live in snow territory so I need a quality A/T. Thinking about Nitto's Terra A/T and going with new rims. Rims will be XD BK Monsters 18". What's a good tire size that will look good but not rub? Any suggestions on other brands of A/T are welcome. One last thing if any of you have any pics I would love to see them with stock or aftermarket rims. Thanks

I'm looking at Toyo or Goodyear Silent Armor. I need a good snow tire.

I have 295 Nitto Terra's and have 41,000 miles on them. Just keep them rotated. Not sure how they do in the snow.

I run the Toyo MT/AT and live in snow as well. I have over 30k on them, you see them in my gallery.

Toyo M/T's look killer on about anything. I'm either gonna pull the plug on them with stock rims or get nitto terra with the monsters. I just don't want to spend over 2 grand on rims and tires right now. Any of you guys have pics of your trucks?

Looking at your signature it looks like your truck is not raised or leveled?
You want 35's that don't rub but thatn will depepnd on the offset of your wheels.

Your first post you say you drive on pavement most of the time and don't want MT's and you'll have 18" wheels but in your last post you talk about stock wheels with MT's cuz they "look killer", you need to narrow it down a bit...

I ran a set of 265's on my Duramax on OEM Dodge rims. Real good rain and snow traction, quiet, wore very well I thought. Had over 50% tread left at about 35k miles when I sold the truck. (no burnouts!)
I've had the ProComp MT on an 01 Dodge. Got close to 40k mi out of 33-12.50-17's, and it was all windy mountain highway driving. Not bad for a MT.
Have 285 Pro Comp Extreme MT's for my winter tires on the Mega. About 15,000 mi on them last winter, mtn highways again (seem to be the worst condition for tire wear). Have 50%+ tread on the outsides left and 75% on the insides. Will mount them inside out this winter to even them up.
Both the MT and XMT are loud tires though. Pretty decent treadwaer for what they are.

Anyone know who makes Pro Comp tires?

For all around performance I like the Cooper Discovery st. Great in the snow and pretty quiet for being aggressive. Had a set on a Jeep, a set now on wife's 4-runner, set on father in law's ram 1500. That being said I bought my truck with the Nitto Terras and they seem pretty good too.

I'd like to know how tires do on our diesels. Lots of people say they had such and such tire on a Jeep, or they had this or that tire on a half ton, but I'd like to hear about running the tire with 3,000 pounds in the bed pulling a 36 foot trailer, running empty at 70 mph on ice, and pushing snow 16" deep.

My BFG's are LOUSY in mud (of course with a front end that weighs 4,300 pounds what would work in mud?) but are great on lasting a long time (56,000 miles so far) lousy for death wobble and balancing, great for being quiet, and only so-so in snow.....

Ok....I know I've been all over the place with what I'm wanting. Thanks everyone with your help and info. I was looking at pics of lots and lots of trucks trying to get an idea of what I'm wanting. I knew I wanted a 33" for several reasons. One they won't change my gear ratio too bad and two at most I might level my truck so I feel they look the best on a stock truck height. So I started looking at A/T tires and was having a hard time finding a 33 that wasn't to wide or to narrow. To tell ya the truth a 33x12.5x18 was exactly what I was looking for. But only found that out after hrs of looking on the internet at pics of different trucks. When I lived in Oregon I ran a MT and got decent (actually great) milage out of them something like 45,000 I know over 40 for sure. I was up late last night looking at rimzoneonline and seen they had a special on toyo mt's. Gave them a call today and they gave me a great deal on toyo mt 33x12.5. So in the end I bit the bullet on looks over highway performance and bought them. Hopefully I didn't **** anyone off on being a nut but for a short while I was ate up on picking out a tire not to wide, tall, skinny or any other image i had. When I get them on I'll get some pics on here. Thanks again
