I was driving home last night and my engine light comes on then the engine starts running like crap. P2149 is the code I got. I did find out the code iterpretation and have pulled the valve cover and checked the ohm's on my injectors. All of them read .5 to .8 and then number 6 is reading over 10. I think that I have a solenoid stuck open on that injector. Since the truck has 120K on the odometer I am not trusting the rest of the set. I definitely am not looking forward to blowing 3grand on injectors, but I don't think there are any other alternatives here. I am running on a brand new oil change and fuel filter, so there shouldn't be any negativity coming from that area. I can not detect any fuel in the oil or oil in the coolant. What do you guys think?

Update, the dealership confirmed that #6 is shot. I am going to replace myself since no warranty. Do you all have any tips or recommendations that I need to do on this injector swap? Please help.

 

none other then thats worst one to have to replace its just time consuming about 4 hrs or so. if your going to be back their and have the extra money mite think about replacing 4 and 5

 

Thanks for the reply. I fixed it. I wont have any reservations about doing the other five in a month or two. I guess I'm going to run stock until then.
