Help Fighting!!!!!

I need help fighting Chrysler. They dint care that I got cheated by the dealer and the factory rep. You all have read my past post on the tranny fiasco. I have got all paper work showing I did nothing wrong. When the rep was showed this he came up wit a new one. He said I bought a light duty 3500. There is no such thing. I have turned them into the BBB and federal trade commission. I haven't found a lawyer yet that works in that kind of stuff. Anyone else have any ideas? I am not letting this go. No wonder Chrysler business is going south.

Just get a lawyer and lemon law it. This is a bunch of BULL from DC and your dealer. Think to get it on the road again you will have to pony up and pay for a new tranny but I wouldn't let the old one out of my sight, I know, core charge etc but you will need it to prove your case with DC. If not able how about finding a wreck with a good tranny for a little less maybe?? Also can you get an indepoendent shop to verify the problems with it in writing and willing to back you in court with an appearance if needed??

Light duty 3500? That's a new one, he must have worked for GM before because I know they had a light duty and heavy duty 2500 series in the 90's. Didn't know there was such a thing as a l/d 3500. Find a lawyer that knows about the lemon law and vehicles will be a big bonus.

I ran into something similar when I bought a rough neck rear bumper for my 04 model. The bumper didn't fit right so I called the manufacturer, he asked me if my 3/4 ton had a heavy duty emblem on the tailgate. Mine did, he said the bumper wouldnt work unless I cut out the center supports. He said that the frame on the heavy duty 3/4 ton and 1 ton was different than the ones that didnt say heavy duty. I have often wondered if there are any other differences since the frame is different. Seems as though there is...
Sorry to hear about the DC response to your problem. How many miles ddo you have on the truck/transmission???

Have you asked them to buy it back before you do a lemon law? Lots of the time they are willing to do a buyback to avoid a legal messes

I feel your pain. When I got my 95 I took it home with dealer plates on it. The next day they sent a kid down to finalize the paperwork and give my new plates. I was told where ti sign and so I did. We shook hands and he left. I had agreed to purchase the truck "as is" at the dealership. I sat down and reviewed the papers and saw the Ct's mandatory warranty so I listed the things I needed done. The paper said I have a warranty so I used it. I dropped the truck off and the next day the service mgr called ma and said I have no warranty. So I said i do and I have the paper to prove it.They insisted i came up to straiten things out so I did.On the way there I called my ambulance partner (who just happens to be a lawyer) for advice and he told me to call him if it got to be to much for me. I met the owner of the dealership and he had a brand new stack of papers for me to sign. He said I have to sign them to get my truck back. I asked him if it was fixed. I told him I only wanted the things fixed that they said would be fixed before I took delivery. Such as a fuel tank sender, three bald tires, no ABS. Those things that were listed on the CT warranty sheet. I called mt friend back and was told to demand my keys back and that we would see each other in court. He wasn't happy at that point. He threatened to have me arrested if I didn't leave immediately with my truck....

So any how I let my lawyer take it from there. He called the attorney generals office in Hartford. The secretary wasn't in that day so, he spoke directly to Richard Blumenthal. Apperently I wasn't the first guy that got screwed by this guy. So they did their things I brought the truck back to the dealership and had a digital tape recorder in my hand on for every word said while I was there. They didn't say much at all. I got more than what I originally wanted done. So that's what I would do get a lawyer or use the states lawyer. Your taxes pay them to work for you so use it. I wish you luck.

The main thing is keep everything straight, no contradictions or anything they can misconstrue, stay assertive and note everything and every event. And it wouldn't hurt to have a witness or two. When I deal with dealerships, I always have a bud with me to observe those crooked a$$e$ play their little game. They want to get TECHNICAL!? with words, but they can't even do their job technically right w/o screwing something up! I've seen it too many times. I hope all goes well for you.

It has 8055 miles on her. The first tranny issue was at 1300 miles.

Do you have a State consumer protection agency? Here in California we also have a Bureau of Automotive Repairs, and if you mention that you will be calling them it literally makes auto dealers and repair shops shake in their boots. A couple of years ago I had a Ford F150 I took to the dealer to get the seals replaced. They forgot to put more than a quart of oil in it and didn't want to accept responsibility for their actions. Well to keep it short after going up their chain of command I call the BAR and the next day the dealer called me and asked me to bring in the vehicle to be repaired. They provided a free loaner and really kissed my butt while I was there and the BAR rep physically watched the repair.
