I think they have fixed the problem or complaint on the 06's. They have a Tow/Haul & OD Lock-out mode according to the gear shifter. I guess you have to push the button twice, that is if I read it correctly


Just trade the tranny out for somthing else and then you will be happy

Not hauling a trailer yet.. I read some posts awhile back about this that if you used Cruise control the trans would automaticaly downshift out of overdrive to slow the truck...

I don't hual on this truck But I don't think I would be confrotable hauling my 60,000 Dump and backhoe in cruise control but maybe it could help you out untill DC comes up with a reprogram to fix this..

thanks for the suggestion, sounds like i would be putting a bandaid on a heart attack

ill give it a shot. for the money i spent i should be able the drive my truck not figure out a way to bypass a bunch of b...shiiiii.....

I wish mine would use 4th on tow haul.. 3rd is to low!!!!!!! I'd trade my 04 tranny if you want. Mine loves to climb the hills in Colorado in 4th.

climbing the hills isn't the problem, coming safely down the back side is the problem. do you really want fourth gear ona 6% grade with 12000 lbs behind you?

i highly doubt you do
