one thing I thought was interesting was in the 05' ford catalog it listed 17,000 tow rating. But when I studied the fine print it was a regular cab long box, 2wd, V-10 with a 4.30 rear end. So it tow 17,000 but the mpg must be frightening, I'm thinking 6-7mpg. Ford's 6.0 was listed about 16,000, it is still more than dodge but you got to remember ratings are somewhat subjective.

A mitshubishi montero is rated to pull about 7500 lbs. (guessing) but I cringe at the thought.
