Grid heater ?
Grid heater ?
It has been cold enough here in the desert to cause activation of the grid heater. It is also warm enough in the afternoon to use the AC. I have noticed if I leave the AC on and the blower my truck will start to crank then stop, kinf of like a low battery. Turn off the AC and it fires right up. MY question is this normal or do you think I may have a battery going down. I was hoping someone might give it a try and let me know if perhaps both on at the same time may be too much draw on the batteries. The amp meter reads 14-15 when running. My truck is a little over a year old and well maintained.
If you have the time...Thanks

THATS NORMAL ...your saying when you start the truck with the ac on high ...the blower fan goes ~HI~LO~HI~LO... the alt.doesn't kick in for a few to 20 seconds after starting
NO WORRIES !

That's not what he's asking.
In our trucks, when the defrost is on, the AC is on. I start mine every now and then with the defrost on in temperatures where the grid heaters are active, and it turns over fine. I usually turn everything off if I see the WTS light on, just in case.
What you're experiencing doesn't sound normal to me.
