i have a 2005 wth nv5600 trans. when i pull mountain with 10000# camper i use 4th. at the top i can hardly get it to sift to 5th. whne i get it shfted and go on the level then everything is fine again. shop says think it is slave cyl. shift fine all the rest of the time. im thinking about putting on fast coolers and increasing fluid level. anyone have this problem???

trans-cool is better. the fast cool or trans cool hold one quart. use a total of 8 quarts. mix one gallon of synthetic syncromesh sae50 transmission fluid with one gallon 5w-30 synthetic syncromesh transmission fluid. they can be different brands, i carry dello for the road-rangers and usually use royal purple for the 5w-30. you can get the trans- cool at genosgarage.com

thanks, think i will use the mopar oil though. expensive. do the coolers hold a quart each, or a quart for both. i like the trans cool cause they come with gaskets, more money, but the others come with a "sealant"

Just got this 2012 Ram 2500 crew cab 4X4 with the Cummins diesel. I am totally loving this truck. What a change from my 2011 1500 2X4 crew. This thing is a Real Truck. LOL Just joined here to see if I can learn some stuff about it and I have to say this site Rocks! Spidey.
