Gauge install

Installing gauges on my 03 and i have a question about installing the boost gauge. Is it better to tap a hole in to the intake horn or to get the boost bolt that goes in to the manifold? i have the drill bit and tap to put it in the intake horn but would it be better in the manifold?

When I first installed my gauges I used the bolt in the intake plenum. When I got an aftermarket intake horn I moved my boost connection over to the intake horn. The boost readings were the same regardless of location. I guess it's best to say - your preference/choice, both locations work fine.

I made an intake manifold tube for mine and put a pressure tap port in it. Works good so far.
