just picked up a steering column for a manual. my auto conversion kit will come complete with
transmmission (only 2 months old with new converter from dodge)
headlight to dash harness
transmission/tcase harness
steering column
bellhousing adapter (between block and tranny)
flexplate
converter
rear drive shaft
shift cable
center console tray (where shifter would have gone thru)
I am getting closer to pulling the trigger to get this done. almost done gathering a couple little items. I am **** and am not going to do the conversion until I have all the parts gathered and I mean all of them.

got my new steering column last night. the headlight to dash harness came in last week. now waiting on the SBDD 3250 with hydros. having surgury today so things are on hold for a few days. looking forward to getting all parts rounded up and getting this thing DONE
Good luck on the surgery and hope everything turns out good for you. I'm having a hard time finding a professional shop that will do a swap for me. I don't want to pay someone to do it and it turn out looking like anything other than a factory or better job. I could do it myself, but I don't have the time or a place anymore. If yours is successful, would you be interested in doing another one? ....and get compensated well of course?

CLUTCHES- I would do the swap for you in a heartbeat. people knowing my **** retentiveness know I am meticulas. Doc ended up rescheduling the procedure due to me taking an excedrine for migraine friday. my fualt cause I did not read down the bottle far enough and did not see it had asprin. blood thinners and gettin cut I guess is a no no! LOL.. well August 3rd is the new cut day so my system will be clear of anything that will thin the blood.
I will be waching this thread VERY closly. I cant wait for the pics and writeup. I have been wanting to do this for the 2 and a half years ive had this worthless auto. I thought I had an entire wrecked truck with a manual found to do the swap but the junk yard said it was a misprint on there website and it was actualy a auto. Then they had the nerve to tell me they wouldent sell it to me if it was a manual after finding out why I wanted it. They said it was to much work and not worth it. I thought that was prety lame, what do they care why I wanted the truck I coulda used it as a battering ram for all they should care. It was wrecked and already partaly parted out. I WILL do this swap some time when money allows. When all is done please post up a complete parts list and any and all pics posible. MANY MANY thanks.

the parts list I have so far is pretty much all you need. get a smarty and have them send you a program to reflash your ECM to think it is a manual. i will be posting pics of all parts and every step. going to probably start a new thread when that happens to clean things up a bit
cbrahs- just let me know when you are ready for it!! I understand with the sugery thing...my dad just had minor surgery but they were real strict with meds, vitamins, and diet but he did the exact same thing by taking some over the counter med. The problem is they tell you what not to do, but there are so many do nots it's hard to remember them all. It would just be easier if they would give you a list of things you can do which after they get done with it wouldn't be as long as this post.

am darn near there. Only thing I need now is a good clutch. Not going to do the install with the factory unit. Don't feel like pullin it down a second time for a clutch. I will be selling my complete automatic setup with
transmission (less than 5k miles on rebuild)
trans/engine adapter
flex plate
converter
steering column
shift linkage
headlight-dash engine bay harness
t-case to trans to engine bay harness
This will be a complete auto conversion kit on a palate ready for someone to do the swap.
So far I am into it nearly $4k without the clutch but have gotten some KILLER deals on parts. The engine bay harness (headlight to dash) was nearly $900 alone. Found a tranny & adapter out of a wrecked 05 for $2500 and the rest is for misc parts ie, clutch pedal, bushings, pins, shift boots (there are 2) etc..... oh and getting a custom tune from Smarty to trick the ecm into thinking its a manual
I am hoping to be done in the next couple months but my son is coming back from afragastan in November so i will be traveling to California for a few days when he gets off the plane. If I can get the conversion done before the trip that would be sweet. Nice road trip to test things out.
I am glad that I don't have a large group of gauges to re-route since I went thru the clutch master cylinder hole in the firewall. Only have to re-route the stainless braided boost line and the EGT probe wire and already have a location for them.
Next step right now is removing the bodylift. Going back down to 6" total lift until I win the lotto and having a custom lift done.
Will keep everyone posted on the progress
