Tracked averages over the last *12* tanks:
calculated 18.3
indicated 16.8
Truck now has 10,079 miles on the clock. This has been mixed highway, city, and some towing. Burned the bean for some of it.

On a recent trip of six hours one way that was all e way except final 45 minutes I got 18.25 mpg. Average speed for entire trip was an honest 75 mph. About 1,200 pound payload and one passenger. Truck had about 12,000 miles on it at the time. Can't complain about that. Don't know how other people get above 20 but maybe that will come with more miles.
Does it really matter what fuel milage you get on your truck???? I sure didn't buy mine because I thought it might get 20MPG. I average about 15 MPG and could care less....All these trucks get better MPG than a gas rig but I suppose you could buy a toyota 2wd SR5 if gas milage is a problem..........
I have been doing consistant 16-18 since new. This is with a 4wd, 4.10rear end 2003 Quad Cab and 8Ft bed. 12 miles highway(70-80) and 12 miles city(30-45) each way to work. Have been getting closer to 18 since I have 10,000 on it. Last tank was like 17.71 on the hand calc
Took a trip to North Carolina this weekend and averaged over 18 mpg at 70-75 mph with only 1800 miles on the clock so far.
For about 80 miles of that the console was reading 19.9 mpg. This thing is awesome. By the way I got 4.10 rear and 4wd.
EDIT: I guess that would mean I got 4.10 front too...

I am averaging 17.1 over the last 5941 miles of varying driving conditions. This is calculated on the overhead computer. Try racking up some miles before resetting the OHC. This will give you a more realistic average.
I've got an excel spread sheet to figure out my mileage, if someone know hows to share it.
Here's a CNP of the text:

Wind resistance is a MAJOR issue with fuel mileage.
Unloaded at 65mph I get over 21mpg. Increase the speed to 75 or more and it's 17mpg. Add trailers that I deliver and it's way down but still different due to the type of trailer. 12,000# models, with an angle on the front, yield me from 10 to 12 mpg. Lighter 8,000# models, with a square front, only give me 8 to 11 mpg.
Wind resistance, varying with both speed and configuration, is a MAJOR issue.
