Front Wheel Bearings?

What is normal life for 3rd generation front wheel bearings for a 4x4? How do you check front wheel bearings on an '03? Is there an available aftermarket bearing/hub kit that replaces factory parts or do you have to go back with stock parts? How much for either? What are advantages to aftermarket parts if one is available?

I've seen posts about replacing front bearings/hubss from 50k to 150k.Would think the average would be 100k to 150k. Use the SEARCH function and search for EMS or Dynatrac? Dynatrack? Lots of reading on them.Price is from $1300 to $1700 parts only. That converts to new bearings and manual locking hubs etc. Some one else will jump in that used them sooner or later.
