Welcome to "death wobble".

How old are you shocks?

What tires and rating are they?

More like, what is the condition of your entire front end? Ball joints, shocks, tie rods, track bar, tires...etc. Everything? Get it checked out. There are numerous parts under your truck that have been know to be the culprit of the death wobble.

BFG's, there is you problem. Biggest POS tire EVER for these trucks and the #1 cause of DW.

You may have lost a weight on that rim. Get it balanced you should be fine.

My 285 BFG's do that as well some times. Depends on the road. If you don't slow down it just builds and builds. BFG's aren't a POS tire really...they just aren't a good match on our trucks. My buddy got 80k out of his on his 03 Chevy half ton. That's pretty decent. I think I'll be looking into something else with an E range next time though.

A lot of the death wobble comes from play in the steering box. I hear a lot of I have replaced everything then when they put on one of our Steering Box Braces or SBS it corrects the problem This is something that is VERY common to the Dodge trucks.

When I first got my truck, it had some off brand tire, I'd get the same kind of action out of the driver side front end tire. Turned out the tire had a broken cord on the inside and it was really screwing everything up. Always happened right at around 68-73mph. My guess is you probably have the same problem.

I wouldn't want to have it "without" a steering brace. I imagine it could be within the realm of possibility to rip the steering box right off the frame with a bad case at high speed.

I suppose if it were mine I'd do the cheap stuff first...

Try rotating the tires and see if that changes.

Pull the shocks and feel how they go through their travel to see if there is a dead spot, or just replace them since they are due anyway.

Jack the thing up and check for play...
