Front end bouncing badly

Hi,

We had a big snow storm last day ( 20 inchs ), took my truck , put it
on 4hi, as soon as i entered the snow, the front axle started to jump
badly. Ive been able to drive no more than 75', its was too scary.. When i got out of my truck, i was able to see the bounces that the front diff left on the snow..

Anyone has an idea ? It's a real pain that i can't drive in snow like that..

Cheers,
Marc/

I would say snow conditions and not your truck. I've had that before in a 4x4 in that type of depth and the snow was semi-hard drift packed. A bit too hard to plow down and enough to ride up on it so you get a climb/drop bucking. Not much you can do about, I don't think.

That's actually quite a bit of snow, above the axle tubes.

Lower your tire air pressure, see if that helps.

Thanks for the input guys.. Im gonna try at least to lower tire pressure in the next storm.. I was under impression that this problem was due a tired front suspension.. too soft..

Cheers,
