Front driveshaft u-joint part #?

I pulled and replaced the 2 cardan u-joints and they were precision 354, no issue. The lower front u-joint I got was a 534G, inside snap ring, but by measuring, it seems the joint is about 10/1000 too tight to get the snap rings on.

Can anyone offer any info on this part? It sure doesn't seem quite right. Also, how do you go about taking the lower front out? Is this the plastic setting I've read about? It "looks" like there are plastic roll plugs at the caps.

FWIW, there is NO greasable hole on an 03, and I would assume the same for the 04. There is a tiny pin hole between the cardan housing and the u-joint closest to the tranfer case but there is no way any tool could get in between the two so it must be for vent relief to do the assembly.

One other thing, why would they put roller bearings in the cardan joint? There is no rotational movement in this part (unless somethings broken). Maybe a very minor bit of forward to back but it cannot rotate.

I want to put it back together tomorrow so if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

TIA
