Folks with G56's

Wondering if I could trouble you guys for a measurement. I need to know what the depth of the engine adapter is, from the engine block to the tranny bellhousing. I'm working on swapping a G56 into my 12v, and I'm getting a lot of mixed answers on what I need, so I may as well just start from scratch. This will be the first step in the puzzle. My tranny is out of an '06, so that would be preferable, but I can't see an '07 being much different.

The G56 also had the dual mass flywheel, which is where the complications start. AFAIK, due to the DMF, the input shaft is a bit shorter than that of the NV's. Crank spacers will work on some clutches, but not all, due to the disc to input shaft bearing retainer clearance. Bolt patterns are the same on the engine adapters, I was just curious if the depths were the same as well.

you can get the flywheel to use in place of the crappy dm. its been awhile since i replaced mine but think its thicker then a regular flywheel. I would say if you get the flywheel for the dm replacement you shouldnt have any issues then
