FluidDamper....worth it?

I keep seeing advertisements for the Fluidamper balancer.

It says it really smooths out the drivetrain.

Does it work?

How much and how hard to install?

I'm sure they're better than the stock balancer, but I didn't notice much if any difference. I wanted it to help quiet the rattle of the dual disk clutch but I don't notice a real change in that. I'm not saying they're not worth it but depending on what change your going for determines if it's worth it for you. I got mine cheap (less than $200) so I'm not as disapointed with the end result as I would be if I had paid full price.

Get a hold of Morkable (Kevin) here on the site. I know he has one and has nothing but good to say about it.

You can't go wrong with a Fluid Damper (or equivalent) - like roller rockers never hurt either!

... but I think an aftermarket harmonic balancer is especially useful to cancel out the CTD's notorious vibration from being transmitted to the G56 if you have a non-dual mass aftermarket clutch installed.

Otherwise, it's a useful luxury...

Yeah Fluidampr's rock especially with manual tranny trucks. As much as I like mine I would put one on my Auto if I had the money to blow!

If your running a Dual disk or Billet front cover TC they help with the added weight.

I bought one per Pourin's advice. When you compare the stock to the Fluidampr you will understand why it was a good idea to upgrade.
