Fluid coming from Trans/transfer case

Ok, I am starting to get a good bit of fluid off the bottom of where the trans and transfer case come together. They both have ATF +4 so no telling which one is leaking from the outside.

so I am sure the the trans is a normal tailshaft type seal. Who has changed it and can I change it with the trans in the truck still? part # anyone?

I guess I will change the one on the transfer case as well. Can that one be changed without taking apart the transfer case? part # anyone?

Thanks folks

You will need to remove the transfer case to replace the needed seals. That You will be replacing the transmission output seal and the transfer case input seal. I just did one at work today on an 04 CTD. No part numbers, unfortunately.

Yeah I got you on removing the transfer and that is no big deal. I was just curious if the seals could be replaced without any further disassembly. I figured the trans could but wasn't sure about the transfer.
Thanks

before you pull it all apart, i've seen a couple of these threads where the red fluid on the trans/x-fer case turned out to be coolant from a loose hose clamp...

Thanks, but this is where the two meet. That coolant leak is usally where the coolant is on the bell housing. No coolant anywhere near where this is leaking.
