Fittings needed to remove OEM lift pump?
I need to know just what it will take to remove the OEM pump and directly connect the fuel line to the OEM filter?
My lift pump is working fine. 9psi at idle and 7psi at wot. 89,xxx miles.
Truck is stock except for gauges. I want to get all the fittings and an after market pump to carry along so that I can change it out should the pump fail while I am on a trip.
I know that Fass, Walbro and Glacier Diesel supply all the fittings and wiring for the replacement. But I am leaning toward a Holly blue or black. They are much cheaper (money is important) and are available at most parts stores. We use Holly as the replacement on all our transit vehicles and have not had a failure of the Holly.
