First frost= water in fuel? Lots of white smoke
Was camping in the high country for a couple of nights, got down in the low 30's. A heavy dew the first night and heavy dew and a little frost the second night. Got up early the next morning to head out, truck hadn't been started in a couple of days. When it started the engine sounded terrible like it was running on 4 cylinders and it put out lots of white smoke. After 30 seconds or so I shut it down and drained the fuel filter bowl. Restarted and everything slowly returned to normal after another minute. Didn't have any trouble on the way home, ran perfectly.
Wondering if the sudden drop in temps (high 90s to low 30s) coupled with sitting for a couple of days caused excessive condensation to collect in the fuel filter bowl?

I had this happen, lots of water came out of the drain. I was using a green locking fuel cap, and the cap also had an ounce of water in it. Truck ran like HELL, when I started it, shut it off quick.
