I have a 07 Ram 3500 w/ 5.9 4x4 has 133,000 miles . I lost OD last week . I replaced the Lockup/OD solenoid the govoner and transducer and changed oil and tranny fluid. Now my RPMs are running at 3-3.5 at 65 mph and I'm getting 15 mpg instead of 23 mpg . when I let off the gas the truck windes down like it's in tow haul mode. When I hit the breaks at first I thought it was dying or cutting out but I think its more like something wound up or out of balance. It has the same amount of power but it feels like I'm running in 4 wheel drive at 70 mph and I'm stumped. I just don't know what else to do . I have never had any problems with my truck ive had it 2.5 years the fluids are all good and it's throwin a new code every day we have p0714 p 0713 p0740. P0868 P2509 I know what all the codes for but I can't figure what is going out PLEASE HELP ME

 

Doesn't sound like your OD is fixed. 3000+ rpm and only doing 65mph isn't OD.

You're feeling the compression braking when you let off at that 3000rpm.

Get the OD fixed and report back.

 

Ok I have verified the parts are good. I am shifting into OD but now my WCM is shuting down . well I was shifting to OD till it started going haywire again now its missing alarm is sounding and dash flashing or it just won't start at all. The batteries arnt changing and its throwing p2509 which I've been told isn't good news . I would junk it if I didn't have a note and to be the first time it's ever had anything wrong with it in 135,000 miles it sure is a lot to happen. Any suggestions? I'm just at a loss now
