Hey guys..terrible timing..driving to FL tonight and truck will be there thru jan 5..and reg expires dec 18. I went to get an e-check and the truck failed..it said readiness error and would not scan. I really need to get this thing going asap..any thoughts of what to look for? Nothing on the truck has changed although I did just get the truck back from the body shop (all the repairs were around the tailgate/rear bumper though). I notice my boost gauge is also not working. I wonder if something was disrupted at the body shop or what to look for. Any suggestions appreciated!

 

Not sure if it's the same thing, but I have an 04.5, and there was a service bulletin about getting the computer reprogrammed at a dealer (because monitors weren't resetting). The 05+ (maybe 06+) was under warranty, the 04.5 was only covered for 6 years or something. Anyway, I had to pay the dealership to reprogram my truck in order to clear registration. They gave it to me 50% off, but I argued with Dodge and couldn't get them to cover the flash (even though I was never informed) and had been to the dealer for another warranty issue when the re-flash would have been free. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks a lot for the reply KCT. I'm gonna call my local dealer and see if they are aware of a tsb. Do you happen to have the tsb #? I poked around dodgeram.info and didn't see anything.

Again, it wasn't under warranty for my year (04.5), but it was still required for my smog.
