Engine Light On

Hi all,

I just returned from a 400 mi trip pulling my boat and camper (9000-10000 lbs) and now the engine light comes on when I start the truck and stays on.

Manual says something to do with emissions. Truck is 2006 2wd Cummins with about 25000 miles and all stock. What could possibly be the reason the engine light is on? Thank you.

It would help if we knew the year of the truck and what code triggered the light to come on.

Took truck to dealer, and they said "Battery Temperature Sensor Rationality," and the fix was to 'Reprogram Computer to Solve Glitch.' Code P0514. Anybody heard of this and what is the deal?

Oh, and they tried to charge me $200 for a transmission service.
