Ehxt Manafold removal

Some questions:

How hard is it to remove the ehxt man??

Do I need new gaskets etc to replace if I remove the man??

Does anyone have the trq specs for the man if you need them??(I'm thinkin you do)...

I'm thinkin of taken mine off and cleanin it up a little, maybe some HH paint shine up the heat sheld etc..

If you are going to take it off, this would be the time to drill for the EGT probe (from your other post).........or an opportune time to get an aftermarket manifold!

the manifold is hard to get off but sure was a pain to get back on my buddies 04.5, we eventually had to drill all the holes out because the front 4 and the back 4 would not line up. hope you have better luck than we did!

Yes you will need a new gasket. That is a given just about any time you remove something that has a gasket.

Actually you really don't "need" a new gasket unless any of yours somehow get damaged during the removal. I've pulled them off many times with no problems using the existing gaskets. You will have to break the metal tabs on the back couple of bolts so you can get the nuts off. (You will see what I mean) and you will have to pull the nut down below the manifold in the very back that holds the bracket for a tube back there. Once again, you will see what I mean when you get started. It's pretty easy and does not take long at all. I have always pulled the turbo off too so maybe leaving it on is the reason that it's hard getting bolts to line back up. Pulling the turbo with it is easier in my opinion. I've done it both ways.....
