Question Dynatrac vs "EMS Offroad" Free Spin Kits

Which Kit is better? Which kit would you get and why?

I am trying to decide which kit to put in my truck.

HC-00D-SW-30 is $1295 from EMS
CR60-2X1104-E is $1895 from Dynatrac

Is the Dynatrac worth the extra $600?

Is there a better place to get the kits (less $)?

After seeing a 3-4 MPG gain with my front differential out, and my truck being 2 wheel drive I now pick up speed rolling up hill (or so it seems!)

Overhead went from 23-24 to 26-27 on the highway. It's also SOoooo smooth.

Less vibration etc... The better front wheel bearings and cost savings with just that later on is a big reason to make the switch too.

Collecting data and need to order to be available when my new ring and pinion gears come in. (mine were damaged)

Your feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.

There are 2 kits from EMS. One for $1295 that uses 30 spline axles shafts and one for $1475 that uses upgraded Chromoly 4340 35 spline Axles and Warn Premium Lock outs. The $1475 kit is comparable to the Dynatrac kit. There arent alot of people with the EMS kit yet since it just came out so there's not alot of experience with it. That being said, i'll be going with the EMS kit.

ems offroad has installed many of their kits. give eric a call- he'll be happy to give any/all info you would want. i just bought their kit a week ago- very stout!!! (have yet to install it) i need to replace other parts on my front end too-getting everything together. i have a feeling dyna-trac will have to do a "price drop"" after the word gets out about ems offraod- thier kits is definatley not worth the extra 600.00 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been watching this hub thing for some time now and have not herd one person say it was a waste of time and money. I want to do it but $$$$. Also the Warren hubs stick way out beyound the rims. You mow down pedestrians and sheer off fire plugs with them, LOL.

Has anyone put one of these kits on a Dually? I'd be interested in that, especially if I could pick up at least 2mpg. That would be a mod worth doing to be sure.

I have yet to see a picture of these hubs on a stock wheel and tire. Someone please post one. I want to see how far the hubs stick out and how it looks.

I thought I read somewhere that Dynatrac had come out with a new hub setup that didn't stick out as far.

I'm waiting on my hubs to go out and then I'll do this. Hopefully someone can post a pic of this.

Doesn't DJ Gaston have the manual hub conversion on his?
