I'm using a 2" for 315/70/17s with enough room to get chains on and load heaving without any rubbing. The 285 will have a masive gap between them with a 2" spacer.

I've wanted to see if a 265 will fit with a 1/2" spacer.

I have used 1 1/2" spacers with 285's and there was still plenty room. A 2" spacer will leave a really big gap. The only downside to using a 1 1/2" spacer is you have to trim the end of your wheel studs off.
